Unlike our Fixed Focus Video Dermascopes which must be placed directly on, or just above, the skin surface, our USB Dermascope features a focusable magnification, with a Variety of Lens caps, which allow up to 100x magnification. This means that you can clearly focus on a small inspection area, such as a growth or the small pores of the face, or conversely an image of the entire face. The USB Dermascope features a high quality CCD camera chip which provides a Digital Image, displayed directly on your PC or Laptop monitor. Not an analog video image. In addition to the higher resolution image, the USB Dermascope features a built-in LED light source, direct image capture button on the hand piece, and 6 Lens caps specially designed for polarized images and additional illumination. These caps include: 12x vertical-illumination, 14x polarized light filter, 40x side-illumination, 50x polarized light filter, 50x vertical illumination, and 100x side-illumination. As this is a USB Dermascope, all inspections are displayed on your Computer or Laptop, and the USB Dermascopes is shipped with viewing software which displays the live image and captured JPEG images directly on to your hard drive. The USB Dermascope hand piece features an image capture button, and the focus knob. Captured Images are saved by date, and can be emailed, burned to CD or stored in client files. Please note that if the 100x Magnification is not powerful enough, we do sell a replacement 300x Magnification lens, with a 400x side-illuminating lens cap.
